Artists you have an Irrational HATRED of....

What artist do you absolutely hate, irrationally, and with wild abandon?

I hate Scott Stapp from Creed. Actually, I hate Creed, and all that they stand for. Boring, methodical, power-driven, Stone-Temple-Pearl-Jam drivel with lyrics that attempt to sound profound but are so by-the-numbers as to make an already annoying musical act cringe worthy.
The VH1 special is almost as hard to sit through as Graffiti Bridge, and the fact that this band sold millions of albums to an adoring audience simply blows my mind.

Now I don’t wish death upon anybody, but if Scott Stapp were to accidentally drive off a cliff, I can’t guarantee that my first reaction would be one of regret and sorrow. I hate him just that much. I hate him so much that I don’t feel that my hatred is even selfish—rather, my hatred is a repository for all the dormant hatred others would surely feel for him once they come to their senses—in other words, I’m hating him so you don’t have to bear the burden yourselves.

but for people like Miley or the Jonas Brothers, i dont hate them because they are nothing more than the new "new kids on the block" or "Nsync's" etc..theres no reason to hate them because they will be gone "musically" before you know it.

I've given it up for Lent, and I'm not even religious.

Seriously, though, it has happened countless times in the past, but not so much anymore.

And some of my favorite artists/music/films/art have come out of this irrational sensitivity. But you've got to be willing to really dig into some deep psychological crevices and potentially get quite mucky to find what's really annoying/grating/exasperating you.

Most of the time it's just easier to continue to hate.

Other times, after you finally release it, a lot of this stuff just sits there with no engines firing at all. You just move onto to something else with no more need to spit at the dark or find a soapbox.

But sometimes you may want to spit. I understand that.

Total rationality would in fact be irrational.
