any fans of the black keys here?

i am... big time.... thickfreakness and rubber factory are great albums imo.... dan's guitar tone is the best i've heard in a long time

LOVE THIS BAND!

I tried to bring them up around here a while ago and got the same response. I've been playing music like this since I was a kid, deep rooted in blues with a raw energy that makes you want to scream and howl.

I get a comparison to the White Stripes but the singer has more soul in his voice then Jack White will ever have. He goes to that Paul Rodgers range which is so much cooler than the nasal whine of Jack White.

They need a bath though, that's for damn sure...

and yeah i think dan has a great voice

some live stuff







attack and release seemed to me to have 'slicker' production on it... which put me off a little at first but it's grown on me
