NPGMC - nasty again

One has 2 wonder...
Y the MIDRIFF-BARING CRAZE hasn't hit the Japanese women yet...nor the propensity 4 obesity. In America, sometimes these 2 go hand-in-hand.(funkface goes here!)

Who the fuck writes this garbage??? possibly the "midriff baring-craze" isnt fashionable in Japan.. its another fucking country and culture after all! Do people REALLY need to point this out? Does the absolute stupidity of NPGMC know no bounds?

And yet another dig at people who are overweight. For a so-called Christian, Prince certainly tends to judge people on appearance and material possessions. I find it hypocritical at best, downright evil at worst.

(and for Prince or his organisation to find fault in other peoples dress sense is too ridiculous for words... the guy needs a slap!)

It's because it is an official Prince website. People go there for information on Prince... not to be insulted or be made to feel inferior because they don't look like what Prince deems acceptable.

are you telling us that you've never said "ooh, she shouldn't be wearing that", even more so, don;t you think it is a bit ridiculous when 12 year old girls are wearing midriff bearing shirts? That is probably more what Prince was hitting on.

The quote says WOMEN, a 12 year old is not a woman she is a girl (a little girl at that)

Who knows what Prince is thinking sometimes. But using ambiguous language is dangerous as this proves. You just end up insulting someone. Obesity IS a problem in the USA, a major health problem that needs to be addressed. But it requires sensitivity because not all people are simply greedy gluttons AND it is also the fault of living in a NOW society that expect fast food etc etc.
'I loved him then, I love him now and will love him eternally. He's with our son now.' Mayte 21st April 2016 = the saddest quote I have ever read! RIP Prince and thanks for everything.

It was instantly apparent to me that whoever wrote that was taking an ugly stab at the overweight. I wrote them about it, in fact.

The second thing I mentioned was the "crack" humor...crack isn't funny at ALL.

They have very poor taste...wanna know what they wrote back?

Thank U 4 Your Feedback

NPGMC haven't a clue... if you go to any cheesy nightclub in Roppongi in Tokyo you'll find plenty of Japanese girls who think "sexy" equals "wearing fuck all clothes".

Also with the amount of red meat in the modern young Japanese person's diet, obesity and heart conditions are becoming a serious problem now.

Moral of the story - if you haven't a fucking clue what you are talking about, keep your mouth shut biggrin

As for the point about obese American women baring their midriffs... well, if you take it as a fashion criticism it's a fair point (wrong clothes for that particular shape of body etc).

actually i'm with the NPGMC on this one.

obesity is a huge (no pun intended) problem in america. it's a national health crisis, an EPIDEMIC that we ALL pay for in terms of insurance, workers compensation, lost time, etc.

last night on channel 11 mpls news they featured a ten minute segment on obesity, causes and treatment. it boils down to lifestyle choices. you either take control of your own body and make healthy lifestyle decisions (exercise, food intake), or you don't. the statistics have changed on this in the last 20 years. ONE THIRD OF AMERICANS ARE NOW OBESE.

and no amount of 'i'm comfortable with myself the way i am' can counterbalance the fact that obesity is a health risk.

when i lived in japan there were VERY few plump people, let alone obese folks. sure their diet is changing and obesity is in their future, but i think NPGMC is saying they look good compared to americans.

When I wrote them, I was taking into consideration his FANBASE...and how tasteless the commentary was - I wasn't arguing it's validity.

I’m not American but reading this kind of things makes me mad. What are they thinking? I myself am not thin and it feels more and more like Prince only want one kind of fans, has he forgotten that humans come in all shapes, sex, sizes and colours? I liked he’s views on matters like this more before. sad

I don’t know if this is true, but when you look at mode programs on the TV and on mode pages on the net it seems like there is a Lolita mode going on in Japan - lot of women looking like sexy little girls, but maybe that what he like this days. shrug

And this crack joke? What’s that all about? hrmph I mean it like when little kids try to be cool and hip. Saying that someone dance like they are on crack are not a compliment to me.

Then there are some clothes I would not wear of course...
no matter what size I was smile

I'd like to see Boni Boyer (rest in peace), Rosie Gaines and Michael Bland's take on this issue. It seems easy for Prince to point at other people in other places and say "look how they do it right," but he never discusses people with whom he's acquainted who fall into the same category. The commentary on NPGMC seems to always be a bit provoking, yet at the same time the provoking comes at the expense of those who will not be given a chance to respond.

Granted, it's his club and his web site and he can say what he wants. I just doubt he ever walked up to Michael Bland and said, "You know Michael, I've noticed that Japanese people don't have a propensity to be so large like you are."

i don't understand this thread..reminds me of that Simposons episode when George Bush puts the spraypainted banner on his house reading "Two Bad Neighbors"

Hibbert:"I don't understand. Are you saying you and barbara are bad neighbors?"

Bush: "NO Thats not Bar and me, its them!!"

Flanders: "Who Maude and Me?"

Bush " NO! The man and his BOY u know the boy is named Bart. I don't know the name of the man, BAR, Whats the name of the man?"

Barbara "I'm not getting involved george"

Bush: "Look just NEVER MIND I THOUGHT THE BANNER WAS PRETTY STRAIGHTFORWARD GUESS I'LL JUST TAKE THE THING DOWN"

[this post was written using similar logic as that used to post this "newz" item on NPGMC]

...so, Prince, would you be willing to return to all of the obese Americans who bought your music in the 80s and 90s half of what they spent, as long as they promised to move to Japan and adopt a strict diet of uni, salmon skin rolls and hot sake?

Was Prince lying when we sang, "I like 'em fat, I like 'em proud?"

Isn't lying a sin?

And isn't it great that Japanese people haven't bought into the assless pants craze that swept America in 1991?

Anxiety

If NPGMC made their bare-midriff quip as a comment on health, then as most of us on this thread have already pointed out, they have no idea what they're talking about.

If NPGMC made their bare-midriff quip as a comment on fashion, they're more than a little behind the times - the whole Britney bare-midriff craze went out months ago, and anyway - HI - it's winter.

If NPGMC made their bare-midriff quip as a comment on body image, then shame on them. Prince's penchant for skinny little nubile things was cute in the 80s, but we've all grown up a bit in the last twenty years and learned that bigger can be beautiful. Get with the program, shorty.

ONE HAS TO WONDER WHY THE CRAZE FOR SELLING USED SCHOOL GIRLS KNICKERS IN DISPENSING MACHINES HASNT SPREAD FROM JAPAN TO USA YET EITHER...what a donkey that Prince is. Now all Japanese people please forgive me if I ma being ignorant but Japan treats it women appaulingly (the old silent slave thing) has a shocking level of child abuse and,as well as being hugely corporate,is largely centred around teh sex industry...but Prince appears to have overlooked these flaws just to make a pathetic statement.

Buy the way check out www.nuvo.net/hammer/prince.html

and the Cult or Collective section to see how dangerous the NPGMC really is.

Regarding the "One has 2 wonder...") comment sense
someONE is trying to educate us here: smile

There are definate cultural differences, and fashion,
the entertainment media, certainly have spun a web
around the globe. Japan, however, because of the
cultural differences, are perhaps still more conservative.

Their diet consists of alot of fish, soy and protein.
So, it is true that as a whole, they consume healthier
food. Think of this statement on the club as a WAKE-UP
call. Did you ever wonder what the excuse is for all
the types of unhealthy food available IN the US.
All of the fast food restaurants?
Why aren't there more health food restaurants,
even a fast food veggie-burger spot?

ONE surely must know that some have weight problems
due to genetics, or health problems. There really is
a need for people to eat better. Recently, I just
heard that 6 out of 10 in the US have a weight problem.
I found that a little high, is this true?

I would like to add, that people can be BEAUTIFUL,
ALL SHAPES IN SIZES!

Regarding the mention on Japan's reaction to "NO
Cameras" - and how security was surprised at
the response of the people to abide.
Manners are very important to the Japanese,
inside and outside of the home. This I respect. They
have rules for how to hold chopsticks, bathe,
etc. (ONE should try chopsticks, maybe one could eat
slower and enjoy their food - which in itself is healthy.)

America is always talking about "rudeness today"

What are they blaming it on?
- too much crowding
- too much anonymity
- too fast a life style (power driving)
- values
- entertainment and the media
- selfishness

Maybe we need a wake-up call, to take some CARE of ONEANOTHER.

Remember - Love4oneanother?

pray for PEACE EVERYWHERE!

And yet . . . ironically . . . Japan always seems to produce the most messed pornography. They produce the "snuff" (fake snuff) films, the rape films, the pretend child pornography !?! It appears the Japaneses simply don't display their vices quite like us Americans.

At least that's what I hear about Japanese pornography, I certainly wouldn't know by first hand experience. innocent

Echo say:

Yes, America, fortunately, has embraced the
subject. Long overdue. I've seen news
programs, and read various articles. Try the
web.

Especially "road rage" - it is everywhere.
After 9/11 one could notice a difference
on the road, many people did! We are not
invincible!

But - we, in America, are not alone, this is
a worldwide problem! I wasn't trying to
single out America.

Aw man, quit crying! Maybe he saw the same comedian I saw a few nights ago, who stated that a midriff shirt is called a half-shirt for a reason...only half of the women who wear them should be wearing them! And he preceded this comment by stating the obvious...that many women, who wear belly rings that can't be seen unless they exhale, and others with less than flat bellys, should not wear these shirts. Common sense. But, just like Americans, they are brainwashed into thinking that they look good.
And, as in other Non-US countries, obesity is not damn near the norm. We eat too much, eat things that aren't good for us, don't give a damn, etc. Then when someone calls it, fat muthafuckas get mad! Quit eatin Krispy Kreme donuts and Lays potatoe chips! Eat some dayum veggies! Read a book on nutrition!!!
I'll say this...I went to Ibiza this year, and women are FINE AS FUCK!!! No obesity, and they know Americans when they see em...and they look down on the fat look. And you don't have to wonder who's looking down on you cause it's obvious. So there are no BBW's who are proud of their girth, no fat ass men with bellies hangin over their belts. Just people who care about how they look and feel!
