Have we actually established whether or not the ONA Live set is going to be sent to us as part of the membership or will we just be able to buy it before it goes on general sale?

Surely if the CDs were part of the membership, that message would have stated that we WILL be served first, as it stands, it does seem to suggest that we'll just get the right to buy it before the rest of the world...

Or am I just reading things into it?

Anybody got any suggestions?

The rumour is that this will be a prerelease download from NPGMC ala The Rainbow Children last October.

I doubt it, not with 3 hours worth of material to have to download. My guess is that the Live discs will be made available to buy to members prior to its general release and at a discounted price (ofcourse, this will be negligible once shipping costs come in to play).

I also think we will be sent 3 other cd's. The final 2 will probably arrive weeks before the onset of year three and thus, whip up enthusiasm for that following year.

why put that after a comment about ONA LIVE... thats leading me 2 believe eye dont have 2 pay for anything, eye can just sit my butt at my doorstep and eat cookies and wait 4 the mailman.. thats what eye got out of it..

this is a great club.. ya know.. they dont let u know anything, and keep u guessing, while they wipe their butt with ure 100 dollars:)

And it has officially been said that NPGMC members will be able to BUY ONA...Live! prior to a commercial release.
No dates.
No $ amounts.
No downloads.

That doesn't sound like its a club selection. That sounds like we will be given the "opportunity" to buy it before the general release & non-club members.

how ridiculous is it that it's october and we're splitting hairs over what a 2-month-old press release might or may not have hinted at...

the club NEEDS to give the members some respect and let us know what we're getting. i'm a fool, but even *my* azz ain't joining next year until (and if) he tours AND i happen to have that day off...since he usually gives shorter notice the closer he plays to paisley park.

sigh. just hook us up with SOME MUSIC, puh-LEEZE.

Agreed.. it is rediculous.. eye'm so tired of all of this snazzy jazzy what are we getting stuff, eye dont even care anymore..

and eye dont care much about year 2003 for his club, doubt after all this touring in 02, that he will not tour in 03.. just the celebration..

Looks like my information was incorrect. I apologize. Club members will be getting three more CD's in the mail before the end of the year. The 3 CD set ONA - Live. That's it. The rest of the rumoured discs were apparently just 'ideas'.

A lot of NPG Club members feel let down and in the dark as to what their membership fee has got them - An online petition is being created with many are saying they will not rejoin the club in 2003 and seek refund for 2002 from their credit card providers (a common course of action for non delivery of product and one that protects the consumer in such cases as non delivery).

Please note -I know one response is the club offers so much more particularly in the area of concerts and priority seating - My response to that is - while the pre-sale tickets are nice, Most artists are offering pre sale tickets to 'online club members' (I have bought them this year for Beck, David Bowie and Ryan Adams to name a few - and all I had to do was sign up for a news letter advising when they would go on sale without a $100 dollar club fee!)

I joined the club because I love the music and was under the impression I would be receiving 'at least 4 new CDs' not one cd and a three CD live set (That I will be able to buy at Retail probably for under $25 dollars).

This is all a shame because I think the intention and premise of the club is a good one-It has been the execution of the club's commitments (regarding the 4 CDs of exclusive music). Of course given that there is another 4 months till clubs official year end there is hope something good is going to happen (there is still time for the remaining 3 CDs to arrive. However lack of information regarding delivery schedules is frustrating and annoying to your club members. Cryptic answers as to what to expect do not satisfy in this case — it has been 8 months and only one CD has arrived... With no news...or explaination

A club by its very nature demands communication and in this case delivery of promised product-Please let the NPG Music club members know (in clear language) what is happening regarding the 4 CDs before it is too late ... It would be a shame to see the club collapse next year because members either seek refunds from their credit card providers for 2002 or do not join again in 2003.
