GOOD QUESTION

Did anyone else buy this paisley park related CD? Do u like it?

The only catchy song i can get into was "One On One"

Reading the notes, it seems Prince didn't have any involvement at all.
There isn't even a Thank U to Prince for using the cool studio. confused

I have the album on vinyl as well as the "Got A New Love" 12". The C+C Music Factory remix was the best one. The single was a U.S. #1 dance hit.

Anxiety thanks for letting me know there was another thread floating around. -- how strange for two to think of the same thing on the same day - this is really freaky! eek

I haven't thought about this group in many years .. I'm in the process of trying to figure ot how to put my cassettes on CD, and this one was in my collection.

Thank u for mentioning of the C&C remix sexonseven, I will try to locate a copy on ebay this weekend. biggrin

Back in those days,I bought nearly every album that was released on Paisley Park Records,so naturally I bought this album too. It's a weak dance/pop album, not unlike all the other late-80s crap. The first single "Got A New Love" became a minor hit on R&B radio. To those of you who have never heard this album, trust me,you aren't missing a thing.

That was my only reason for buying the cassette too -- it had the cutesy paisley park swirl on it. So I assumed it had the Prince stamp of approval or at least had a similar Prince feeling. I was wrong, and have only listened to it again recently .. a few of the songs.

Hi mymocha! I now have the details of it.

Here is helpful info 4 U from the other thread .....

http://www.prince.org/msg/7/138056

First buy an audio cable (I think it says 1/8 inch) make sure it has two black lines on the tip (that means it is stereo). Plug one end into your stereo headphone port, plug the other end into your computer soundcard Input port (not the mic port).

Now what u play on the stereo should now be heard in your computer speakers.

Now u need a program to record what u hear... -- "Sound Forge" or "Audacity".

After u record your wavs or mp3 - - u just have to burn it to a CD-R disc -- I use Roxio Easy CD Creator (it came with my computer).
