Yeah, but it's the 'Brits' so the news will concentrate on the British acts.

Can't really see Prince getting the respect he deserves tomorrow. I don't think 'the sun' will be able to slate him, so they'll just gloss over him.

Real shame it didn't go out live - could have had the same effect as the grammys.

Anyway, who gives a fuck - we know how good he was, right

Is sharing a link to audio that was freely available on online radio really against the rules? It's not a bootleg, surely? How's it different from posting pics copyrighted to Getty images and the rest?

Yeah, I guess that's true.

I'm excited to see it, I wish they'd kinda made more of Wendy & Lisa being there, I mean it's a pretty big (IMO).

After the youtube mess, as mods we decided that should/would include TV appearances - they would recieve the same treatment.

If you want to discuss this further, then make a thread in the right forum about it.

Gosh, I just listened to that performance; and your all dear Sheila "what's timing ?!" E. completely f*s everything up, especially LGC, but also Fury! I knew she can't pull off a musically decent drum solo but instead tries to play as many notes per beat as possible by human standards. But tonight I had to make the experience that she isn't even able to play in sync with the not too complicated drum patterns of cora...

keep in mind that the stream was in glorious mono though. All the instruments were fighting for a place in the audio spectrum. Add to that the rather fucked up mix (waaay to much bass, for instance) and the tower of compressors those radio stations insist on using, and you end up with umm.. well whatever it was you heard smile

is the audio legally sharing the tunes? like is it coming directly from bbc? if it is, then its okay.

I liked the live version of Te Amo Corazon... I like the song a little better now. And I'm glad he didn't choose to play Black Sweat. However, and don't hate me for this, I thought the SNL performance of Fury was much tighter than the Brits performance. Anyway, looking forward to seeing the TV broadcast tomorrow!

Umm this won't be a popular opinion, but I could have done without Wendy, Lisa and Sheila. It's nice for nostalgia and all, for anyone who cares and remembers the old bands, but... Prince always always picks great bands and his latest is no exception. He doesn't need the old band members making cameo appearances. As it is, the Brits performance was enjoyable if a little sloppy in places (which I think we can attribute to the presence of old crew).

The thing about getting Wendy and Lisa back - it's kinda underwhelming, the performance of Reflection had more wow factor because it was just the two of them there, this was Prince, and they were in the backing band.

It's great to see them all together again, but I'd prefer to hear the results of a renewed relationship in the STUDIO rather than on the stage, you know?

Agreed. I suspect it wasn't. Don't ask people for illegal copies of stuff on the forums, it's pretty simple. What you do in orgnotes or email or on the phone etc is your business, I know it's debatable what's "an illegal copy" when it comes to stuff like TV shows, and even I will cut people slack for this sometimes, but generally speaking, if we err on the side of over-moderating on this point, I'm OK with that.
