Sooooo . . . .Beatles project for Prince huh? Wonder if this means he and Michael will have to work together on negotiations of some sort since Mikey owns the rights to the Beatles catalogue now. . . . this is indeed getting more interesting! lol

that's what i'm thinking.

this could be a business move.

The Beatles thing is a HORRIBLE idea. God, I hope not. I love the Beatles, btw, but Prince better expect a whole lotta backlash.
Baby, that was much too fast... 1958-2016

Too many rumors...it's either tour, no tour, March end of Vegas shows or not sure, .. .....no one knows for sure what's going to happen. shrug

I'm with you. The staff at the Rio keep telling fan, Prince is renewing his contract for another year while, the airplane chart is showing Prince preparing a tour for his new Beatles album. I'm also tired of hearing different news but in another hand, I give credit to fans who are trying to give us information as much as they can. It's exciting being able to post that last news heard. So', I'm confused in a way but thank a lot fans for bring info.

I think mj was working with steve wynn to start a regular show at his hotel. michael can't do a small club like that. it would sell out too fast. i think it would be good to keep the same 21 and over rule though.

It was showing signs of dying during the press bowl thing . Dyed for good during superbowl even though good performance.

I just heard on the local radio station that March 31 is the last day Prince will play in Las Vegas because he's going on tour. and working on a huge Beatles project. And MJ might take over 3121 and call it Club Thriller. neutral

Well if it's any consolation...

My favorite song by the Beatles is "Blackbird".
Very hard to find that song, unless you buy the whole collection of the "white album". However,...

BLACKBIRD - great song and is my favorite by the Beatles.

A great group (ladies) called "The Sisters Love" did a remake of this song and did it mighty fine.

Anyways, just my input and whew, I love that song.
Take care,

Join U... the Beatles r bored and overrated

Have you ever heard "Blackbird", "Michelle", "Eleanor Rigby", "Here There and Everywhere", "Lady Madonna", "Something", "In My Life", or "Helter Skelter"?

The Beatles were much more than "I Want to Hold Your Hand", and "She Loves You (yeah, yeah, yeah)"...

They quite simply wrote some of the greatest songs of all time, were continually inventive in their output while remaining hugely popular and didn't outstay their welcome.

To hear Prince reworking songs of their quality would surely be a fantastic opportunity.

If Prince does a Beatles-inspired project, wouldn't he have to pay MJ? Doesn't MJ own alot of the Beatles catalogue? Prince paying MJ, ugh, yeah, no. Knowing Mike, he will probably try to pass off an "let's perform together" idea and Prince will offend him by laughing in his face and telling him to do his own damn comeback. He's probably just going to temporarily close the Vegas show to do a tour and then return to it.

if you want to know the best beatles covers album, imho, check out Ramsey Lewis' "Mother Nature's Son." It's a GREAT jazz/psychedelic album (originally on Cadet). It's covers of the White Album. I pretty much can't stand the Beatles (esp. Paul), but I freakin' love this album. It's been out of print for years, was reissued in Japan in 2003 (vinyl/CD) & is now available on iTunes.

Don't know how reliable it is, but here is an article on it from www.eurweb.com

PRINCE MAY TRADE IN VEGAS GIG FOR TOUR: News station says artist will dip out of the Rio Hotel on March 31.
(February 23, 2007)

Those planning a trip to see Prince perform in his new Vegas nightspot better hurry up and get out there before the end of next month.

The entertainment reporter for KVBC-TV in Las Vegas reported that the artist will soon shut down his weekly Friday and Saturday performances at his newly-opened club at the Rio Hotel & Casino so that he can tour behind his latest album, 3121.

Reporter Alicia Jacobs told viewers that Prince is due to cut ties with the venue on March 31st, however, it was unclear as to whether the club would continue on featuring other performers during his time away.

Despite the report, a rep for the Rio, dubbed Club 3121, told the Las Vegas Review Journal that "there's not a confirmed end date as of yet."

Hmm, I thought Vincent Price has passed away over a decade ago. Maybe his voice is being recycled for the Thriller production on the Vegas strip. But would then he not be coming to vegas, not "no longer in Vegas". Someone clue me in please. Nice to hear Vincent get some recognition.

Now for some Price trivia:

Before Vincent Price did the narrative on "Thriller", whom did he do the same for previous? Hint: think "Nightmare"

Ok, don't suppose anyone will respond to my Vincect Price trivia, so the answer to what narrative Price did prior to his work on Thriller was Alice Cooper's song "devil's food" off "Welcome to my Nightmare".

thanks for that tid bit o trivia.

This doesn´t sound real to me.
