The new album will shock some and please others. It will be innovative but also sound oddly familiar - breaking new ground but paying dues.
There's at least 1 surprise appearance.
The cover art includes photos and illustrations (these may be replaced by photos before the release).
There is a hidden surprise track although some insiders say P might remove it b4 the release - so wait and C!!!
For those who like funk: you won't be disappointed, but the guitar-freaks will really be getting their purple rocks off.
The Twins will be featured in some but not all videos (assuming that all the planned videos get made).

I have lots more info but I can't share it all at one go. Orgnote me for more details and I'll provide if I can.

If you steadily mourn
about shoes out-worn
you might just ignore
the signs of a new dawn

Time's not endless
it only is in our minds
which will come to an end
one day, anyway

There is no sun rising
it's just the earth turning
with us on its surface
with flowers on its surface
with water on its surface
and with clouds above
the ball, the ball, the ball

The ball that feeds us
the sun that breeds us
the hand that greets us
we only seem to decline

The ball that feeds us
the sun that breeds us
the one that needs us
we only seem to let down

this might or might not be on Planet Earth CD
maybe rather not
but could as well be
or not
if so then it is a rocky song like Right the wrong (just u sing along, bang-bang ping-pong)
told u so...
(or didn't I ?)

Well, if anyone has any REAL inside info... and I mean something that hasn't
already been posted here or elsewhere, and something that will either be
shown to be true or false once the album drops, feel free to post it.

Here's a few suggestions...

> Name the release date for the album.
> Name a song title from the album (that isn't already known or been played)
> Name which track number on the album 'Guitar' is

No?... I didn't think so.

Dance the Dance.....Electric. NOT the title.....the opening shot.
Is that specific enough 4 u?

Does anyone actually consider Guitar a "guitar" song? It sounds like more of the rave/musicology/3121 pop laziness w/ guitar added to it versus a guitar driven song that has prince accents to it.

I have never dug it as a song let alone a single...

It was an interesting choice as a LEAD single.
I took it as foreshadowing of the theme.....Guitar.

well, album is an umbrella term, or a so-called superordinate
for a collection of songs/tracks if you talk about music.
cd is just one format for an album

actually it means "white sheet of paper"

you mean vinyl/record

I've actually spoken to Prince. He was standing in line in in front of me at the supermarket. He told me that he's really disappointed with this album but he's going to release it anyway just to annoy people.

That's where you're wrong.
I think you're confusing the term 'Album' with 'LP'.

It IS an 'Album', because an album can be released on CD, MC, LP and any
other format that can be invented.

funny that this thread was only created after everyone knew that "Guitar" had been re-worked to rock a lot harder.

and as for Giovanni, it's funny that I asked a couple of weeks ago if "Guitar" (the original version) was a 3121 outtake or from a batch of songs for a new album. no answer, even though he was on that thread. and no indication that a video had been shot. or that it had been reworked. and that it was on the new album. that would seem like the perfect opportunity to drop some of those vague hints, don't you think? but no, nothing.

Dance the Dance.....Electric. NOT the title.....the opening shot.
Is that specific enough 4 u?

Not really... unless you pin it down further.

Are you saying that the opening lyric to the opening song on the new
album is "Dance the dance... Electric"? If you are, then yeah, that's fairly
specific. If this isn't what you mean then specify exactly what you
do mean.

i just got off my wireless ouija with prince, and i can't say a whole lot right now but he's really excited for people to see how this album is going to be packaged. the liner notes are going to be printed on a substance made from trees and recycled materials, which is pressed to a super thin and bendable quality, which enables people to flip from page to page (based on an ancient egyptian invention). these liner notes will either be glossy or matte, he didn't say. i even consulted with my magic purple 8-ball and he said "reply hazy - ask again later". he wants us to be surprised.
