Looks like the snl performace will be repeated on 3/25 right after 3121 is released. I'm sure they negotiated that as part of his appearance on the show. Universal is serious!

AIRPLAY UPDATE ; BLACK SWEAT


Recieved 11 spins yesterday on Top 40 Mainstrean radio. Its a start , good considering it doesnt offically go to radio til next week.

I noticed that most of the time radio stations do play and promote the song up to the release dated of a cd.

can we safely assume the song/video will be on iTunes on tuesday? MTV/VH1 continues the problem of not letting their stuff play on a mac, so I haven't been able to hear/see the song/video yet.

Are any record stores gonna be selling the cd single?

I keep requesting to hear the song played on Heart and SOul on Sirius. No such luck yet. Anyone with Sirius, do the same thing please. So far only Howard Stern has played it.

Basically Stern said he didn't like the track because it sounds too much like his old stuff? Not sure what that means. Also he said that he is a "big Prince fan". I have heard him talk about Prince a lot on the show. Once he said he would like to interview Prince. That will never happen I am sure.

Robin kind of laughed when she heard the chorus "workin up a black sweat". Then Howard asked if she could see herself driving it in the new Mercedes (that Howard just bought for her) and she said no.

Any way, Friday's are now "Funky Friday's" on Sirius channel Heart and Soul. This morning I heard Love Bizzare and then Color of Success but no Black Sweat. Hopefully it will get some heavy rotation.

Just as a sidenote, Stern is more of a fan of Prince's rock tailored, guitar fueled sound...I'm sure this is the main reason why Howard may have trouble getting into "Black Sweat" But Stern, actually placed Prince in his top five artists of all time in a conversation with Jack Black...He's a real Prince fan....
