NPGMC Respones 2 EMail RE: ONA Box Set Peace Orgerz... here's what eye emale'd 2 NPGMC & they wrote me RIGHT back.

I don't think this should count as the final 3 cds. That really sucks. Don't get me wrong, I'm totally jazzed about the release but the ONA tourbooks did lead you to believe that the other 3 would be "Xenophobia", "Best of  " & "Last December". I would at least hope that these will see the light of day. I won't be entirely happy if I have to pay for it but I will to have Xenophobia. Well, the bit about "All future releases...etc."
implies that ONA...Live! won't be the final installment. Which was the only thing most of us were really concerned about. If we do end up getting another 2 CD's after the 3CD ONA..Live! I shall be absolutely overjoyed, and won't hesitate signing up again. I guess there is still a possibility of getting "other stuff" by year end. You know, to save a little on shipping, maybe we'll get a bigger package by year end. Maybe One Night Alone - Live, Xenophobia, Best of , and Last December.
So far there have been no strait answers without some sort of "hole" in it. And from what I've read with almost all of the NPGMC responses that have been posted on here, they seem as frustrated as most of you. Sounds like they are trying to answer every question all the info they have which sounds like nothing. It's no suprise, he's always been so "secretive" with his work with just about every release. and I'm sure he's got a tighter hold on the reigns these days. We've heard: Yes, it will be part of the membership, but not nessisarily the completion of the membership. There have been no offical statments that the Live set will be sold in stores, just assumptions from magazine and website articles saying "It will be out soon" Which is probably what was only told to them. Could be just the club though, but no specifics were ever given in any article I read. (then again I might have missed one) There was that questlove statement about the party being for the distributers so they got a chance to hear what they were about to put out. There has also been no official statement stating that we will not get Xenophobia, Best of , and Last December.
Don't hold your breath for the possibility of getting everything, but don't get all dissapointed already before the year's up either. I'm sure all that Xenophobia marketing stuff wasn't for nothing. By the way, Anyone ever contimplate what "Last December" might be? All Rights Reserved. |

What every1 needs 2 remember is that yes we paid $100 to join NPGMC and yes we paid $100 (or several $100 in most cases!  ) for very privledged tickets. But haven't we all had a very good deal? So far we have had 1 album, 1 on it's way soon and possibly another 2 after that! Personally speaking, although I still had to pay a lot for the tickets, I feel that we are getting an excellent deal out of Prince - the aftershow at the Marquee was a £30 entrance fee if you weren't a member, so there's about $45 of our membership straight away. Add just the 2 albums at a normal retail price of say £16(ONA) and £25 (ONA Live) and you are talking another $55, so there is your $100 spent already! If we get the other 2 albums we want to count ourselves lucky.
At the end of the day what other artist does or ever has give the fans the access Prince has recently, or treated them as well as he has done? By the way if anyone has a ticket for Le Zenith let me know - I've never seen him in another country and I'd like to start now! :wOOt: | |

sounds good to me, i think the assumption that ONA live will be the last cds is premature and paranoid to be truthfull, if they want peoples money a 3rd year there not likely to piss every one off in this way.

$ 100 isn't much for one cd + a 3cd boxset + front-row- seat garanty (if you manage to get tickets, of course) + free afterparty access (bringing one guest).
Anything that's extra (more cds) can only add up to the joy! *** |

well i'm glad everyone is so happy with the NPGMC this year because i'm clearly NOT! for $100 all i received was ONA & now a promise of ONA..Live!so i paided $25 for a single cd that i already had half of from year one's membership & $75 for a 3cd set that i've already heard numerous times from others downloads-oh! i forget they will all be "enhanced" now by the great one's overdubbing! yeah!nothing better than getting "waterdowned" versions of songs!lol!oh joy!i feel so special to pay so much for so little.and before all of you jump on me -tell me how much you pay for cd's-at best buy it's usually under $15 for a single cd!so go ahead "sheep" flame all you want-you know who you are! | |

peace ya'LL this email was promted by another post some1 had Listed under this particular HEADING & eye thought perhaps P may "LEAK" some in4 here about what's what @ NPGMC. u know how he always has some1 or mayb even he may Leak some in4o.
so eye thought y not just write The NPGMC & ask em. & that's what they sent me so now every1 knows 1st hand... eye read every1's response & we should have a POSITIVE attitude about what The NPGMC does 4 us & so far eye'm content with what's going on. my only gripe is that i MISSED Prince - One Nite Alone when he came 2 Florida. he changed the venue & my Wife & eye couldn't make it. we're gonna hold out til The Celebration (next year) & then that MAY make up 4 it... Hmmm... mayb eye'LL write The NPGMC & ask em if there's gonna b a Celebration Next Year... what do u think?  Peace ... & Stay Funky ...
