It would have been real nice if Santana showed up, that would have topped it off.
[Edited 6/5/07 18:43pm]

Yeah, A Santana-Prince jam would be ideal! How about prince and Ozomatli? Think that would work?

I think that would work! I would have loved seeing Prince and Ozomatli up there together.

He rocked and as always had the audience in the palm of his hands!

Man - he is just so friggin talented his LIVE performances always R amazing!

The beggining song WOW! So exicted he's finally performing this great song!

Favorite part - when he went into the audience - people were really rockin'

Sheia was great - loved the classic bit at the end in front of the drum (have not seen that move in along long time)

Perfect and Get on the Boat continues to be a strong and powerful LIVE tune

Bring it on P!
The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

Remember there is only one destination and that place is U

Ya - I saw that too.

Prince killed it though. I enjoyed that so much. I just hope I get some L.A. tix so I can see it live for the sake of my sanity.

The majority of the crowd did NOT know The Word or Get On The Boat and they just sat there with a look of uncertainty on their faces. The crowd didn't get up until A Love Bizzare was performed. Of course they were familar with that song, it's a great song but it's older material.

It was another fantastic performace, and full of energy and spirit, rock the house like that at Macy's and the Target Center! dancing jig

The crowd only got up because Prince asked everyone to get up on their feet. Watch it again...if Prince had not said that, they would still be sitting there trying to look cool.

It was a fantastic performance. I love the sped up version of The Word. My only complaint: the audience. They were so dead until The Glamorous Life started. Just because U don't know the song is no excuse to just sit there especially when the music is that good. I kept thinking, move. Admittedly, I thought for a crowd of Latinos, they are awfully stiff and boring.

Kinda missed the horn riff in The Word, and I thought his solos were a bit underwhelming, but it was still cool. And yes, the crowed sucked ass. The way him and Sheila left was great.

Fantastic performance.

At 1st, I was wanting more guitar, and other than the guitar being a little 2 low in the mix, the rest of the mix was perfect. Finally Sheila's timbales were up in the mix, and she was ON POINT, tearing it up.

That hand holding exit nearly drew a tear. That was precious.

Great performance. Huge ups to the lighting director. Best use of lights in a long, long time.

Audience - WTF?!? How could they just sit on their rears? George Lopez can NOT be that un-funky!

"The Word" rocked. Fantastic arrangement. "Get on the Boat" was superb. There appeared to be a lot of non-NPG players in the band. If so, there was probably only one rehearsal, and what they did was impressive. Lots of interludes and changes, and no one missed a note that I could tell. Top-notch.

The whole flavor of the set was Latin-tinged and arranged to pay homage to Latin music. Prince should get some kind of award for putting that together in that way.

I really dug "The Glamorous Life". That song gets better with age, just like Sheila.

No one can touch Prince onstage. No one.

Get on the boat had a really odd tempo to it. didn't flow as well at that tempo. part of me think sit was intentional to flow with the rest of the music, but at the same time, it sounded so out of place, it is hard for me to imagine it being intentional.

discussion:
do you think that was intentional? if not, which drummer do you think is responsible for setting the tempo, Sheila or Cora?
